News & Rumors: Apple to acquire Twitter?

TechCrunch is reporting that Apple is trying to acquire Twitter. Price - $700 Million.

According to the report the two companies are in negotiations and Apple is hoping to complete a deal and announce at WWDC in June.

Does this make sense for Apple? Considering that Apple has just started using Twitter, we’re not sure, but you never know.
