Tips & Tricks: Make a Widget From a Web Page

Is there information on a particular website that you’d like at your fingertips, but don’t want to have to open Safari everytime? You can create a Dashboard Widget that provides you with that information.

Open Safari and Visit the Particular Website

1. Open Safari

2. Visit the particular website that contains the information you’d like to “widgetize”

3. Click File > Open in Dashboard

4. Two menu options will appear under the page tab and a dynamic selection window will appear. Move the selection window over the area you’d like to capture and Click the Widget

5. You can then resize the window to whatever size you’d like.

6. Click Add and your Dashboard will appear and the newly create Widget will load.

It’s as simple as that.
