iPhoto automatically saves changes to a photo, album,
or book as you work, so there's no Save command.
If you don't like the changes you've made to a photo, you can revert to
its original version by choosing "Revert to Original" from the
File menu. You can also undo your most recent change by choosing Undo
from the Edit menu. You can also save a backup copy of the photos and
albums in your iPhoto Library folder.
iPhoto displays your
photos in the order in which you imported them. You can rearrange photos
in the photo library or in an album by sorting them.
Note: Changing the order of photos in an album also changes where they
appear in the book layout for the album. To sort photos: choose "Arrange Photos" from the Edit
menu, and then choose an option from the submenu: "by Film Roll" arranges photos in the order they were
imported. Film roll markers indicate photos that were imported together. "by Date" arranges photos by the date on which they were
taken. "Manually" lets you drag photos in any order you want,
except in the photo library.
You can change whether the most recent photos are at the top of the photo
viewing area or at the bottom.

Resolving
unexpected errors that occurs when creating a Homepage Photo Album.
When you create a Homepage Photo Album, an alert box with
this message appears after the photos are uploaded:
"An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later."
Note: that this error is known to occur in iPhoto 1.1
What to do:
This issue may occur if the filename of one or more of the photos in your
album contained option or double-byte characters when it was imported
into iPhoto. Examples of these include Japanese or Chinese characters,
trademarks (TM, Æ), bullets (·) and diacritical marks (é,
ç, ñ, è, ü, î).
To solve this issue, first rename the affected photos so that they do
not contain option or double-byte characters. This can be done by selecting
the photos one at a time in iPhoto and changing their names in the Title
field.
When you have finished changing the titles of all the affected images,
export them so that the original filename is replaced with the new one.
To export the images from iPhoto:
1. Select all of the images that you just renamed.
2. Choose Export from the File menu.
3. In the Export Images dialog box, be sure that to select "Use Titles"
in the Name field.
4. Click Export.
5. Select a destination where the files will be exported and click OK.
After the files have been successfully exported, you can
re-import them into iPhoto and use them to create a Homepage.
Note: Be sure to delete the original files from your iPhoto Library so
that you do not run into the issue again.

A Kodak Picture CD has several

* Insert the Kodak Picture CD and open iPhoto.
* Choose Import from the File menu.

* Each imported item, whether a single photo or an entire disk will appear
as a separate film roll. Command + clicking on multiple items during an
import will result in them all appearing on the same film roll.
* Processed photos that are offered for download from an Internet site
must first be downloaded to a local drive before they can be imported
into iPhoto.
* Do not copy or move pictures directly into the iPhoto Library folder,
as they will not appear as an option in iPhoto when attempting to import.
Will iPhoto work with
my flatbed scanners or film scanners?
Yes. To use iPhoto with your flatbed or film scanner,
simply scan your negative, slide, or print with the scanner and save the
resulting files to a folder on your Mac. You can import the images directly
into iPhoto with the Import command. You can also drag the folder of images
directly onto the iPhoto interface and add photos that way.
